Univest Reaches More Than 800 Students on Get Smart About Credit Day

As part of its ongoing financial literacy efforts, Univest participated in the American Bankers Association’s Get Smart About Credit Day. This national campaign, which occurs every October, aims to raise awareness about the importance of using credit wisely with young people.

Univest employees visited six local schools to teach lessons about the fundamentals of credit and preventing identity theft. Their efforts reached 830 students.

 


Reggie Reiter Appointed SVP at Univest Insurance

Univest Insurance, a subsidiary of Univest Bank and Trust Co., recently announced the appointment of Reggie Reiter as senior vice president and Commercial Lines team leader. Reiter will use his vast industry knowledge and extensive team management experience to further develop the agency’s producers, enhance the value provided to commercial clients and drive new business.

More than $14,000 Donated to RMHC

Univest Bank and Trust Co. recently presented Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC®) of the Philadelphia Region Inc. with a check for $14,354. The money was raised through a donation from Univest and the Adopt a Blarney fundraiser which sold plush dogs at 37 Univest financial centers across Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties and Ocean City, NJ. Univest customers and employees embraced the promotion and showed support for RMHC by purchasing more than 1,100 of the Blarneys during the month-long sale.

Univest Awards $5,140 to Hope Against Heroin

As Univest continued the celebration of its 140th anniversary, it continued its tradition of giving back to the local community with the fifth annual Caring for Community Giveaway, a promotion awarding $5,140 to a local, nonprofit organization. Construction Underway on Richboro Financial Center

Univest Bank and Trust Co. held an official groundbreaking to announce the start of construction on its financial center in Richboro, Bucks County at 922 Second Street Pike. The financial center will feature an updated banking experience with personal bankers, the latest technology and an array of financial solutions including home loans, insurance, wealth management and investments. The financial center, which will include a drive-up lane and ATM, is slated to open in spring of 2017.

First Financial Center Opened in Chester County

Univest recently celebrated the opening of its first financial center in Chester County which is located at 200 N. High Steet in West Chester. Univest increased its presence in Chester County through the acquisition of Fox Chase Bank which closed on July 1, 2016. In conjunction with transitioning Fox Chase Bank customers to the Univest operating system, the exsisting Fox Chase Bank financial center in West Chester was relocated to bring expanded services and convenience to customers.

Construction is underway for Univest Bank and Trust Co.’s financial center in the Hamilton Crossings shopping center in Lower Macungie Township. The 2,600 square-foot location will be Univest’s first retail location in the Lehigh Valley.
