Univest Corporation recently awarded $225,778 to nine educational organizations in Montgomery County that qualify for the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. The donations will be used to support educational improvement programs and scholarships for kindergarten through 12th grades. Ultimately, these funds will provide public schools with innovative programming to enhance learning opportunities and allow private schools to offer need-based scholarships to give families the opportunity to provide a faith-based education that otherwise wouldn’t be possible.

Construction is underway for Univest Bank and Trust Co.’s financial center in the Hamilton Crossings shopping center in Lower Macungie Township. The 2,600 square-foot location will be Univest’s first retail location in the Lehigh Valley.
The financial center will feature an updated banking experience with personal bankers, the latest technology and an array of financial solutions including home loans, insurance, wealth management and investments. The financial center, which will include a drive-up lane and ATM, is slated to open by late November.
